Notes

Includes all students starting tertiary for the first time study in 2010 and 2011. School information based on school achievement data from NZQA, and enrolment records from the Ministry of Education's ENROL system. Tertiary information based on tertiary enrolments in formal provider-based study, industry training and targeted training programmes. Excludes students who did not attend a New Zealand school. The school decile reported is for the last school the student attended 'Other' progression status includes those students who, after leaving school, are overseas, in the workforce, or not in any type of education or work. Direct progression includes students whose first tertiary education was in their last year of school, or in the subsequent year. Data relates to students enrolled at any time during the year with a tertiary education provider in formal qualifications of greater than 0.03 EFTS. Data excludes those Private Training Establishments (PTEs) which neither received tuition subsidies nor were approved for student loans or allowances.
