LEED - Workers with multiple jobs, by industry 1999 Q2–2018 Q1
A multiple job holder is a person working for more than one employer on the 15th of the middle month of the quarter. The number of jobs is recorded at this time, and the primary job (or first or main job) is the one with the highest gross earnings in that month. It is important to note that for the statistics in this part, the employer is the enterprise, not the geographic unit. An enterprise is a business or service entity operating in New Zealand. Industry and earnings data is obtained for both primary and secondary jobs.
For first and second job, the first job is the job where the person earned the highest earnings in the month.
For more information
Employees aged 15 years or older who received earnings from which tax is deducted at source. This is the same population used for the quarterly statistics from LEED. Self-employment is excluded.

About this dataset
Annual statistics based on Linked Employer-Employee Data (LEED) cover the tax year (April 1 to March 31). They give additional information on New Zealanders’ interaction with the labour market, and their sources of income. The longitudinal nature of the data is used to present statistics on income transitions, job tenure, multiple job holding, and self-employment. These statistics are mostly person-level outputs and are produced annually.

Linked Employer-Employee Data (LEED) provides statistics on filled jobs, job flows, worker flows, mean and median earnings for continuing jobs and new hires, and total earnings. This information gives an insight into the operation of New Zealand's labour market.
