Exports of beef, veal, lamb, and mutton from New Zealand

Exports: Goods of domestic origin exported from New Zealand to another country.
Re-exports: Merchandise exports that were earlier imported into New Zealand and have less than 50 percent New Zealand content by value.

It is not possible to estimate current trend levels for all seasonally adjusted time series to Stats NZ’s usual quality standard until it is known the full effects of COVID-19 on each time series. When each series stabilises, Stats NZ will estimate the COVID-19 effect on trend. The timeframe for this will vary for different series depending on how they are specifically affected by COVID-19.

This dataset only contains a selected range of products that New Zealand exports to the rest of the world.

Imports and exports > Exports - summary data - EXP > Quantity of Principal Exports (including re-exports) - SH (Annual-Jun). All variables were selected in order to create this dataset.

Overseas Merchandise Trade statistics provide statistical information on the importing and exporting of merchandise goods between New Zealand and other countries. Merchandise trade includes goods which add to or subtract from the material resources in New Zealand as a result of their movement in or out of the country. Data is obtained from export and import entry documents lodged with the New Zealand Customs Service (NZCS).
