Skilled migrants: People granted residence through the Skilled Migrant category.
Principal applicant: the person Immigration NZ assess against the criteria for a Resident Visa first.
Secondary applicant: Anyone included in a visa application who is not the principal applicant, i.e. the principal applicant’s partner, the principal applicant’s dependent children, the principal applicant’s partner’s dependent children.
