Water fluoridation: Water fluoridation is the process of adjusting the natural level of fluoride in the water supply to between 0.7 ppm and 1.0 ppm. This is the optimal amount that provides protection against tooth decay, and is recommended by the World Health Organization.

This dataset provides data from the Community Oral Health Service, containing statistics on the level of decayed, missing and filled teeth (dmft/DMFT) and percentage of children caries-free for 5-year-old children. Data is organised by DHB and region, as well as ethnicity and fluoridation status.
